Zion National Park in Utah offers shuttle service

Visiting Zion National Park is a great learning and recreational experience. The park has it all.  It has a rich history to tell and there are so many places to go and explore.  Plus, multimedia experiences add to the delight of the visit.

The rich ecosystems at Zion National Park enjoy the quiet and tranquility of what nature should look like.  The number of visitors to the park has increased over the years.  This generates traffic and noise. To avoid this, a shuttle system has been put in place at the main canyon, which is where most of the traffic and parking problems are.

The primary parking lot for the main canyon is usually full by mid-morning on heavy season.  This creates a great difficulty for visitors to park.  So, it is recommended for people to park at the Springdale and simply take the free ride to the park in the shuttle. Parking in town is allowed anywhere.

Once you have found a spot for your car, look for the shuttle stops. These are located throughout town.  There are actually nine Springdale Shuttle stops.  Once you arrive to the park, you take the Zion Canyon Shuttle which stops at nine locations inside the park.  The transfer is made at the Zion Canyon visitor center.

During busy season, taking a bus is fairly easy.  They pass by every stop as frequent as every seven minutes.  There is not really a rush to catch a shuttle and you can plan your trip easily without having a major delay due to missing a bus.

Some important regulations include not eating or drinking inside the bus.  No drink other than water is allowed inside the units.  Keep your pets at home as they are not allowed inside the buses.
